The Wellington Wrestling Club and the Girls Wellington Highschool Wrestling Team are hosting a FREE girls only wrestling clinic Wednesday, December 17th (6:30 – 8PM).
Women’s wrestling is rapidly becoming one of the fastest-growing sports in the world. Over the past decade, participation has surged at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels, driven by growing recognition of female athletes’ talent and determination. More states are now sanctioning girls’ wrestling championships, and universities are adding programs to meet the rising demand. The sport’s expansion isn’t just about numbers—it’s about empowerment. Women wrestlers are redefining what strength, resilience, and competitiveness look like, inspiring a new generation of athletes to step onto the mat and prove that wrestling truly is for everyone.
